Plygain for Christmas 2022
Here's a link to Wikipedia's description of Plygain. Please let me know if you'd like to have a go at this kind of thing.
At our last Christmas concert in Rosslyn Chapel, we sang Carol y Swper. I think we could do it again this year. We could start looking at it well before the Christmas rush, and avoid the November overload of word-learning.
Traditionally, the plygain has been a male voice thing, but we aren't noticeably traditional, and the tradition has lapsed in Wales anyway. The arrangements can easily accommodate altos and sopranos. They are musically simple, and there's no great challenge in the notes.
For those who don't know what this is about, or who have wiped it from memory, try:

and here's a link to a folder of live recordings of plygain carols, sung by several different "plygain parties".
